New 7 Wonders of Nature
The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world’s longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water’s edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave. // http://www.new7wonders.com/

DAY 1/PPS…Just want to put this awesome travel experience inside a “time capsule” (/ blog) at the same time share a sneak peek of what wonders Puerto Prinsesa can offer. We booked our flight in AirPhil, and a 3 days two nights, tour package at JB Travel and Tours. From what I’ve seen in the internet and some newspaper ads, I think JB’s packages is one of the cheapest-without sacrificing your safety of course ;-P There are just a lot of fringe benefit when you’re traveling with a licensed Tour Guide. Btw, Thanks to our chaperon,Kuya Albert for making our trip so fun and so gay lol. Here’s our itenerary last April 6- 9:00 am Arrival at Puerto Princesa City via AirPhil. Meet and transfer to Ysabelle Mansion.

It looked like what you see on Satellite mode of Google Maps ;-)
A swift one hour gave us breathtaking panoramic views of whip cream-like clouds and chromatic land/seascapes.
The fact that this is the closest I can ever get to the clouds hurts me- I want to put some inside my pocket and take them home!
I’ve always liked the thought of “traveling” and being able to see things for real, but the fear of going beyond my comfort zones always gets me. Good thing my brother came along! -He’s a good swimmer and a lot unworried compared to me :-)
